Nancy Kursbatt, a native of Sussex N.B. , remembers drawing horses and scenes from Cinderella on a chalkboard. Encourage by the appreciation of her younger sister and elementary school teachers, Nancy enjoyed the drawing experience until during her early teen years she became critical of her lack of technical skills such as perspective.
Nancy discovered oil painting at Haliburton School of the Arts, Fleming College. When she became a resident of Haliburton she joined the Rails End Gallery and discovered her love of watercolours.
Her paintings are often inspired by the beauty of Haliburton County. Nancy has displayed her work at the Slanted Shed in Carnarvon, Whispers North in Minden, and Rails End Gallery
Nancy won the “Excellence in Painting” award for her ‘Psychic Painting’.
